James C. Hellman

Jim (Jimmy) Cahill Hellman born March 1, 1948, died peacefully in his sleep on Nov. 15, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Paula Hellman-Lee; and his beloved cousin, Jackie (Jackson) Mellon.

He is survived by his daughter, Jenny Hellman (Dennis); grandchildren, Aubrey and Gavin Cahill; sister, Gigi Hellman; cousins, Mary Ann Pippen (Artie) and Barbara Schell (Greg); and all the kids who knew him as Uncle Jim.

He loved his daughter beyond all measure. She and his grandchildren were the joy and light of his life. Jimmy was a good & loyal friend, a patriot who was proud of his service to his country and a man who loved his family above all else. Jimmy proudly served with the 11th Armored Cavalry (Blackhorse).

Service will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10am at Keystone Methodist Church, 406 W. 74th Street, Kansas City, MO.
