James Edward Ladesich

James Edward Ladesich, Shawnee, KS passed away Monday, May 19, 2014 at his home. Jim Edward Ladesich was born on December 24, 1945 to Mary Lee (Francis) and Charles Martin Ladesich. He was a lifelong resident of Shawnee, KS.

Jim was a proud graduate of the University of Kansas, School of Journalism. He was a freelance publicist and technical writer.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother, Richard, and his best friend, Buddy Eugene.

Survivors include his son, Brian Ladesich and daughter-in-law, Linda; daughter, Nicole Ladesich; daughter, Melinda "Mindy" Blaser; grandchildren: Cierra and Sydney Ladesich, Kailee and Kaden Conrad, Skyler and Wolf Blaser III; his beloved Susan, many dear friends near and far, and a host of God's creatures he so tenderly cared for all his life.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 23 at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 22 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to animal rescue charities.
