James Gene Puskas

James Gene Puskas, 88, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at his Shawnee home with his family.

James was born on March 4, 1932 in Grant Town, West Virginia to Arthur and Rose (Harry) Puskas. James served his country in the United States Air Force until 1954.

James attended West Virginia University and graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in electronic engineering. He worked at Hughes Aircraft in Southern California then at Bendix/Allied Signal in Kansas. James is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

He is survived by his children; James (Kathy) Puskas, Jr., Curtis Puskas and Russell (Sonya) Puskas; including many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 11:00am, Friday August 28, at Amos Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
