James Robert Schaffer

James Robert Schaffer, 74, Shawnee, KS passed away Oct. 2, 2016 at his home.

Jim was born Feb. 11, 1942 at home in Wichita, KS to Phillip and Bertha Schaffer. He grew up in Liebenthal, KS and later moved to the Kansas City area. He was owner/operator of Schaffer and Associates.

Jim was very athletic in school and enjoyed coaching his two daughters in softball and basketball. He was an avid collector of many different items. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his two daughters, Pamela (Terry) Luna, Shawnee, KS and Monica (Shian) Holovach, Kansas City, MO; brother, William "Billy" (Rita) Schaffer, Topeka, KS; mother of his children, Jessie Schaffer, Lenexa, KS and four grandchildren, Emily Richardson, Shawnee, KS, Bryttany, Dylan and Tyler Holovach all of Kansas City, MO.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, where a rosary recitation will be at 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, reception immediately following. Cremation.
