James C. White

James C. White, 83, Overland Park, KS passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 at the Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Overland Park, KS. Jim was born Oct. 26, 1929 in South Park, KS to Jesse C. and Helen E. White. He attended Rosedale High School. Jim was a veteran of the US Army (82nd Airborne) during the Korean War.

Jim was preceded in death by his son, Greg White in 2011 and sister, Carol Stoebick. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marge White; two daughters, Christy Norton and husband, Max, and Laurie White all of Overland Park, KS; son, Chris White, Boynton Beach, FL; sister, Sandy Riedl, Kansas City, MO; three brothers, Don White, Leawood, KS, Jesse White, Clinton, MO and Danny White, Kansas City, MO; twelve grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral Service and Visitation

Funeral services will be 11:30 am, Friday, Feb. 8 at the Overland Park Christian Church, 75th and Conser. Graveside service will be 2:30 pm Friday at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Amos Family Funeral Home.
