James Oliver Williams Jr.

James Oliver Williams Jr., 70, passed away on November 12, 2017 at Garden Terrace in Overland Park, KS. Jim was born July 10, 1947 in Lebanon, MO to James and Juanita Williams. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1968 and graduated from Kansas University School of Engineering. He retired from Honeywell FM&T in 2008 after 25 years of service. Jim had many interests but his greatest pleasures were golfing, fishing, hiking, biking and KU Basketball. Jim is survived by his wife, Jean E. Williams, son, Andrew S. (Judy) Williams, granddaughter, Lauryn E. Williams, brother, George M. (Marilyn) Balko, sister-in-law, Janelle L. (Stephen Palmer) Henderson, nephews, David Dowdy and Christopher Dowdy, niece, Sara K. Barnes, and aunts, uncles and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Judith A. Dowdy and brother Michael E. Williams.

A Memorial Visitation will take place from 6:30 ~ 7:30 PM, Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203. Cremation has been chosen.
