Jane A. Brown, a beloved resident of Kansas City, has passed away at the age of 66 at KC Hospice House on April 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born on January 7, 1959, in Kansas City, Kansas, Jane lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and dedication. She spent many years as a paralegal, working with various legal firms around the Kansas City area. Later, she found joy and fulfillment during her three years at Trader Joe’s, where her love for people and community shone brightly. Ultimately, she returned to her roots in the legal profession, concluding her career at Wallace Saunders, from which she retired.
Jane was not only a professional but also an entrepreneur and artist at heart. She owned a jewelry business, Bello Tesoro, which was a testament to her artistic talents and entrepreneurial spirit. Her love for art extended into the community as she founded the Made Local Artist group, fostering creativity and collaboration among local artists.
A true lover of life, Jane had an adventurous spirit and an appreciation for the beauty of the world. She had a passion for travel and a deep love for animals, especially cats, dogs, and horses. Her green thumb led her to spend countless cherished hours in the garden, nurturing nature’s beauty. An admirer of art and photography, Jane captured memories and moments with a keen eye and an open heart.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Doris Brown. Her memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family: her brother Ronald L. Brown and his wife Cindy; her nephews Josh (wife April, children Brylee and Brendan), Matt (wife Casey, children Oliver and Dawson), and Corey (wife Samantha, children Christian and Colin).
Jane’s warm spirit, kindness, and artistic legacy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her life was a tapestry of love, beauty, and connection.
