Jane Kathryn Green

JANE KATHRYN (SAMLASKA) GREEN, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away peacefully after an extended illness on July 5, 2014, at the age of 63. The wife of Vern Green who have been married for 47 years, Jane was born December 23, 1950, in Madelia, Minnesota. Jane is remembered fondly by her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Daniel Rechtfertig; son, Jason Green; son-in-law, Robert Botz and granddaughter, Alyssa Botz. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Samlaska; her mother and stepfather, Judith and Roscoe Bonderman; her brother, James Samlaska; her daughters Tamera Botz and Darla Green and grandson, Anthony Botz.

Jane was known as a mother-figure to many. She loved animals and her grandchildren. She loved to travel and was an avid crafter such as sewing, ceramics, jewelry and embroidery in recent years. She will be missed by all those who knew her.

A visitation will be held Friday, July 11 from 6-8 p.m at the Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS. Funeral services are on Saturday July 12 at 10 a.m., also At the Amos Fmily Funeral Home.
