Jane Ellen Scott

JANE ELLEN SCOTT, 70, passed away after a brief illness, at Olathe Hospice House on Saturday, June 15.  Jane was born to David E. and Joan M. (Satterlee) Scott in Austin, Minnesota.  She was an avid reader, a lover of scary movies, and an independent spirit.  Jane cared deeply for animals, especially her doggie pets, Abby, and Andy, and she actively supported many animal charities.  She was also active in supporting efforts to protect our environment.  Her parents predeceased her, as did her baby sister, Kathy.  She is survived by her sisters, Barb and Ginny, and her half-sister, Teresa (Allen) as well as brothers Jack and Doug (Amy).  Jane was happiest when spending time with her family and especially her nephews, Jeff (Meagan) and Nick, and most especially her great-nieces, Grace and Clara.  Jane's wish was to be cremated.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS.  A reception will follow at the funeral home.
