Janet Allen

Janet S. Allen, 59, Overland Park, Kan., passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009, at her home. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The National Council on Alcoholism, 633 E. 63rd St., Kansas City, MO 64110. Janet was born Dec. 13, 1949, in Shawnee Mission, Kan., to Willard and Gladys Sherar. Janet attended Shawnee Mission West and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in Interior Design. Janet is survived by a daughter, Andrea Allen and her fiance Tyler McPeak, Lenexa, Kan.; a sister, Linda Woodman and husband John “Woody”, Overland Park; two nieces, Christa Fisher, Clinton, Mo., and Stephanie Million, Prairie Village.
