Janet K. Kelly

Janet Kay Powell Kelly, 74, of Shawnee, KS, passed away, Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

Janet was born in Kansas City, KS on December 9, 1941 to Joseph and Rose Jarrett Powell. She worked for IBT, Inc. for 12 years before she retired. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Kelly in 2005. She is survived by her children, with her former spouse, Donald E. Nachbar, who died in 2000, John J. (LaNelle) Nachbar, Constance R. Nachbar-Moore, Susan M. Nachbar-Majewski, Michael C. (Mary) Nachbar, Craig S. (Robin) Nachbar, and Dawn E. (Jill) Nachbar; a sister, Sharon Smith; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9 - 10:30 Friday, immediately followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

The family suggests that contributions be made to The Foundation for Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
