Janet Mcnabb

Janet McNabb, 71, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away June 7, 2010, following a brief illness.

Janet was born to John Clark and Lorayne Birch Clark on June 27, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas. She and David McNabb were married in 1959 and resided in Olathe, Kansas until 1979. She was the fun, crazy and loving mom of 4 children: John McNabb (Lisa), Melody McNabb Baty (Jim), Scott McNabb (Patricia) and Karl McNabb (Gina).

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, husband David, sister Cheryl Usman, grandson Derek and beloved cats Missy, Squid and Baby Cakes. She will be missed by her family: brother Gary Clark (Doris), sister Gail Vaughan (David), 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews, and many cousins and great nieces and nephews and lots of grand puppies and grand kitties.

Janet worked as a school bus driver while her children were young so that she could spend summers and holidays with them, later she retired after 20 years of service as the switchboard operator at the Johnson County Courthouse, N.E. offices.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., Friday, June 11, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m.
