Jason Julie Huen

Jason Huen, 37, and Julie Huen, 27, of Gardner, KS, passed away on July 13th, 2019. Jason was born on July 12th, 1982 in Houma, Louisiana to Gary and Sharon Huen. Julie was born on September 28th, 1991 in Berlin, Germany to Joel and Brigitte Decker. Jason served two tours in Iraq and Kuwait while in the United States Army as a Helicopter Mechanic. He later went on to earn his Associates Degree focusing in auto repair at Johnson County Community College. Julie proudly completed an Associate's Degree with Dean's Honors in Paralegal Studies and was on The President's Honor Roll. Jason and Julie united in marriage on August 31st, 2013 in Prairie Village, KS. In their free time, they enjoyed off-roading in their Jeep, riding their Harley and loved spending time at the park catching Pokémon with their kids, Ethan, Zander and Shelby. Jason and Julie were preceded in death by Jason's mother, Sharon. Also preceding them in death was their beloved dog, Sweetie. They are survived by Julie's parents, Brigitte and Joel Decker; Jason's father, Gary Huen; children, Ethan, Zander and Shelby; Julie's brother, Justin; and many good friends and family.

A visitation for both Jason and Julie will be held on Friday, July 19th at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 20th at Amos Family Funeral Home at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens in Shawnee, KS.
