Jean Cruce

Jean Cruce, 88, formerly of Vassar, Kansas, passed away January 12, 2015. She was born August 31, 1926 in Rose, Kansas.

Jean was retired from the Resource Center for Independent Living, in Osage City, Kansas, after 20 years. She also worked for Sears Catalog in Overland Park, Kansas, for 20 years. Jean was a member for Vassar United Methodist Church. Her interests included fishing, cooking, playing cards with friends but most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. She was known for her famous cinnamon rolls and banana bread. Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Jean was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Lynn, husband Glen T. Cruce and her granddaughter Cindy L. Hamlin. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Ron) Boyd, Connie (Bill) Kerstetter and Nancy Cruce (Joe Brooks), her grandchildren, David (Susan) VandeLinde, John (Pam) VandeLinde, Michael Cruce, Jason Kerstetter, Jeff (Emma) Cruce and Shana (Trevor) Burgess, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Memorial Service

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the Amos Family Chapel, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas.
