Jeanne Marie (Peters) Roe passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Comfort Care Homes of Kansas City. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on June 2, 1929, the youngest child of Cora and Adrian Peters. She attended and graduated from St. Augustine School in Kalamazoo. Mrs. Roe worked as a telephone operator before becoming a full time housewife and mother.
Mrs. Roe considered herself to be fortunate to have a loving husband and seven wonderful children. She enjoyed her many relatives and friends, including those at St. George Catholic Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, where she was an active member of the church for 48 years and a long time member of the Altar Society. She was a fixture at the Haltom High School football games for many years even after all of her children graduated. Jeanne and Hugh enjoyed traveling and visited their children in many location throughout the US and Europe.
Mrs. Roe moved to Shawnee, Kansas, in 2008, where she made many friends with the residents and caregivers at Sunrise of Lenexa Assisted Living and Comfort Care Homes of Kansas City.
Jeanne Roe was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Hugh K. Roe. Children are Susan Roe, Elizabeth Barton (Mark), Thomas Roe (Lucia), James Roe (Elizabeth), Jeanne Dillenbeck, Patricia Maguire, and Robert Roe (Shelley). Grandchildren are Jennifer Kachel (Cody), Taylor and Alex Barton, Daniel Roe, Joshua and Matthew Roe, Colby and Cassey Dillenbeck, and Wyatt, Isabel and Eli Roe, and great-grandson Reid Kachel.

Visitation and Funeral Service
Rosary and vigal for family and friends will be at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, on Thursday, March 1, from 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 2 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5501 Monticello Rd., Shawnee Kansas, followed by the rite of committal at 12:30 PM at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 4101 S. 4th Street, Leavenworth, Kansas.
