Mina Jean Dearth, 85, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Wednesday morning, September 18, 2013, at the Kansas City Hospice House, after a courageous battle with numerous health issues.
Jeannie was born December 20, 1927, to the late William and Nellie (Minor) Knight in Hinton, Oklahoma. Jeannie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed family vacations and continued to travel up until last year. Jeannie was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and was almost as dedicated to her favorite football team, as she was to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband; James P. Dearth, July 29, 1998. Jeannie is survived by her son, Anthony R. Baldridge and wife Debbie; two step sons, Timothy J. Dearth and wife Marilyn, David Ray Dearth and wife Debbie; two daughters, Theresa Kathryn Bailey and husband Steven, Jacquelyn Ann Blaschke and husband Steve; a step daughter, Dianna Bacon and Matt Cline; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jeannie will be remembered for her beautiful smile and great sense of humor.
Private services and burial in Leavenworth National Cemetery will be at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64145.
