Jerome Nunnink

Jerome Nunnink, 65, of Shawnee, KS passed away on Jan. 13th, 2020.  He was born on March 31st, 1954 in Kansas City, KS to Joe and Betty Nunnink.  Jerome ran his own home remodeling company and was a passionate farmer, for years growing and selling flowers, tomatoes, and basil at the Overland Park Market with his spouse of 25 years, Kathryn Wicinski. Jerome was also proud father and a hard worker. He loved to be outside, whether he was pulling weeds or meddling with pyrotechnics. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a compassionate, generous spirit. His Catholic faith played a vital role throughout his life, as neighbors who frequently heard him bellow "Hallelujah" from his back porch can attest.  Jerome is survived by his three children, Thomas Nunnink, Timothy Nunnink, and Joseph Nunnink. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Andrew Nunnink, and beloved dog, Abby.

A visitation will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203 on Saturday, January 18th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30 AM. Interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery following Mass.
