Jessica Bratton

d. August 28, 1995

Jessica Brianna Bratton August 28, 1995 - September 6, 2020

Jessica passed away from COVID-19 complications. Now she is in heaven breathing easy and is free of this awful illness. Jessica enjoyed life to the fullest and made us laugh. She was well liked by everyone, to know her was to love her. Jessica's light within shone brightly for everyone to see.

Jessica grew up in De Soto, Kansas and attended DeSoto High School where she was an active member in the chorale group. She grew up attending Lenexa United Methodist Church, where she loved the youth group and working hard on Mission trips wherever they went. Jessica wanted to serve others in a medical career and obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medication Aide certifications after high school. She worked for the Jayhawk Foot and Ankle Clinic as a CNA and then at KU Midwest as a Patient Services Representative. At both places, she really enjoyed her co-workers and worked with compassion and dedication to the patients. Her co-workers said she always brought smiles and laughter to the office.

On November 21, 2014, Jessica gave birth to Harper Nicole Bratton. Harper is the joy of our lives and was for Jessica. Harper can brighten your day and can make everyone happy.

Jessica leaves behind Harper Bratton, her beautiful five year-old daughter. She is survived by her mother, Laurie Bratton and her father, David Bratton, step-parents Julie Kirkwood and Mike Stephens, sisters, Brooke Bratton and Heather Bratton Doran, brother-in-law, Brendan Doran, and nephew Owen. She leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins whom she loved dearly. Jessica also leaves behind her best friend, Ariel Galloway, and many loving, wonderful friends and co-workers.
