Jessica Tracey (Thomas) Scott, 32, Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her sleep on New Year's Day, 2011.
Jessica was born April 1, 1978 in Ness City, Kansas, to Randy and Millie (Fagerquist) Thomas. She graduated from Emporia High School in 1996 and earned her BS in finance from the University of Phoenix. She was a long time employee of Bank of America, currently working as Vice President of the Special Assets Group.
The joys of her life were her children, Owen and Tracey. She loved being a mom and being a kid with the kids. She was always taking them on fun excursions and their life was full of adventure. Her motto for life was "Live, Laugh, Love". Jessica loved her family, her friends, and her God. She found joy in football (Chiefs and K-State) and watching Owen play baseball. Other passions include tending her plants and flowers, Kenny Chesney music and concerts, and reality TV. She made everyone she knew a better person and never met a stranger.
Jessica is survived by her two children, Owen Thomas Scott, 10 and Tracey Dinan Scott, 6; partner in life, John Scott, Kansas City, Missouri; parents, Randy and Millie Thomas, Shawnee, Kansas; sister and brother-in-law, Erin and John Vargas, Olathe, Kansas; nieces, Olivia and Summer Vargas, Olathe, Kansas; grandmother, Eloise Thomas, Dighton, Kansas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and more friends than we can count!!! Those who preceded Jessica in death are celebrating with her in heaven. They include her grandparents, Harold and Gertrude Fagerquist and Marion Thomas; and father-in-law, Mike Scott.
We will cherish you forever, sweet Jess. EMAW!!!
