Jesus “Jesse” Zavala Ruiz

Jesse Ruiz, 59, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on May 24th, 2019. He was born on July 31st, 1959 in Kansas City, KS to Jesus and Carmen Ruiz. Jesse became a truck driver at the early age of 18 years old. He drove for many companies through the years and managed ZAVALA Trucking. Jesse loved riding his Harley Davidson, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor and generosity. He is survived by Carolyn Murdock, his loving family and many, many dear friends. He will be missed greatly.

A visitation will be held at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, KS 66203 on Friday, May 31st, 2019 from 4:30 - 6:00 PM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 PM.

Memorial donations in Jesse’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
