Jo Ann Chapman, a beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on January 13, 2025, at the age of 95 in Osage Beach, Missouri. Born on August 28, 1929, in Kansas City, Kansas, Jo Ann lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to her family and community.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Doyle Chapman; her son, Kurt Chapman; her parents, Hazel and Elmer Renner; and her brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Freida Renner. Her legacy of perseverance, strong will and independence will be carried on by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryll and Larry McGuire, along with countless friends and acquaintances who were touched by her.

Jo Ann retired from a career as a real estate broker. She found great joy in reading, gardening, travelling, and especially floating in her chair and cruising on the Lake of the Ozarks. The sights and sounds of the Plaza Christmas Lights and attending musicals like The Lion King brought her great happiness. She also enjoyed her weekly 9 Hole Golf Group.

Jo Ann was an active member of the Dogwood Garden Club, the Retired Officers Wives Club, and the Camdenton Library. She was quite outgoing, and no one was a stranger. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, providing her with endless pride and joy. Jo Ann donated her time and money to numerous charitable organizations, and her commitment to daily exercise highlighted her dedication to a fulfilling, active life. Her vitality and compassion did not go unnoticed.
