Jo Ann “Jo” Morgan

Jo Ann "Jo" Morgan, 87, Lawrence, KS entered into eternal peace on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018.

Jo was born May 5th, 1931 in Russellville, Arkansas. She was daughter to the late Walter and Mildred Harkey. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Travis "TC" Morgan Sr., and their daughter, Jan Merkel.

Jo is survived by her five children, Kay and husband, Ralph Hays, of Gardner, KS, Travis C. Morgan, Jr., of Orlando, FL, Pam Morgan of Russellvile, AR, Scott and wife, Joanne of Baldwin City, KS, Kelly and husband, Mike Stallbaumer of Pollock, MO; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

Jo had been an active member of Pony Club for many years. Her love for horses came at a very early age, and propelled the inspiration of epuine art.

Jo  had been an artist for over forty years-her sculptures and painting were an extension of her life experiences and personality. She attended Johnson County Community College, taking numerous classes and apprenticeship, all under the direction of local artist, Quan Woo, of China. She was president of the Kansas City Art Association for two years, a member of Images II, Inc Association and Mid America Pastel Society.

Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 at the Amos Family Funeral Home. Inurnment services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at  the Resurrection Cemetery.
