Joan M. Scott

Joan M. Scott wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away April 14, 2013. She was born in Kansas City, MO June 14, 1932 to Henry and Marie (Applequist) Trumble. Joan graduated from WestportHigh School in 1949 and lived in the KC area all of her life. She worked for many years for International Harvester before retiring. Joan was a proud member of Community Covenant Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Lowell Scott, by daughters; Sherie Scott and Alletta E. Scott-Dickson, grandchildren; Gabe Schantz, Eric Schantz, John Dickson, Michael Dickson, Caitlin Dickson, and Sarah Dickson, great-grandchildren; Taylor Dickson, Jack Schantz, Riley Dickson, Isaac Dickson, and Matthew Dickson. Joan was an inspiration to every life she touched. She was beloved by her family and will remain in their hearts forever.

A visitation will be held Thursday, April 18, 2013 beginning at 10 am at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. The funeral service will follow at 11 am also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, KC, MO.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Dream Factory or Community Covenant Church Youth Group.
