Joann Ellen Lynch

JoAnn Ellen Lynch, 79, Overland Park, KS passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Sharon Lane Nursing and Rehab.

JoAnn was born August 6, 1935 in Kansas City, KS to Frank and Johanna Everard. She married Robert C. Lynch on January 17, 1971. She had been employed with Pyramid Life Insurance, TWA for 25 years and Security Bank in Kansas City, KS.

JoAnn enjoyed watching sports, especially Jayhawk Basketball and WNBA. She was a longtime league bowler and sang in the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church Choir. JoAnn was an associate of the Ursuline Sisters of Paola, KS. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and had a quick wit. She loved her pet cats and her teddy bears.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, parents, and four brothers, James F. Everard, Maurice P. Everard, Richard M. Everard and Edward B. Everard. Survivors include her sister, Eileen Valdez, El Paso, TX; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express their appreciation to JoAnn's niece Mary Kaye Sharpe for her care in JoAnn's last years, as well as Crossroads Hospice for the care and support they gave to JoAnn and the family in her final days.

Visitation will be 9-10 am Tuesday, August 11 at the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am at the church; burial in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS.
