JoAnn McLain, 80, of Lenexa, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Lakeview Village, Lenexa, Kansas.
She was born June 22, 1929, to Harry and Hazel Robbins of Kansas City, Missouri. JoAnn graduated from East High School in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1946. She married Jack McLain on October 4, 1947. She was a loving and caring wife and full-time homemaker, and worked at the family business, McLain’s Bakery, during holidays.
JoAnn was a member of Overland Park Christian Church and enjoyed many years in CWF Circle 1 at the church. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital, a member of the Overland Park Lioness Club, and a member of the 4th Wednesday Bridge Club.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jaclynn Collett, her sister, Ada Simpson, and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack; son Mike (Helen) of Prairie Village, and daughter Julie (Nick) of Overland Park; grandchildren Carrie Parazin (Chris) of Olathe, and Nathan, Jonah, and Jenna Heng; and 3 great-grandsons, Vin, Grady and Campbell Parazin.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Centerpointe in Lakeview Village and to Vitas Hospice Care.

Visitation and Funeral Service
Visitation will be Tues, May 25, 2010, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Overland Park Christian Church, with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. Private burial.
