Joann Steiner

JoAnn Marie Steiner, 76, Shawnee, KS (formerly of Great Bend, KS) passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Overland Park Reg. Med. Ctr. Overland Park, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday,, Aug. 24 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee, KS. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Committal service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25 at the Holy Family Cemetery, Odin, KS. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Odin Cemetery Fund, 887 NE 140 Road, Odin, KS 67525.

JoAnn was born May 19, 1945 in Great Bend, KS to Frank and Hilda Ille. She graduated from Odin High School in 1963. She graduated nurses training at Dominican School of Nursing, Great Bend, KS and was a registered nurse. JoAnn enjoyed working as a registered nurse with her career culminating as the infirmary supervisor for the Dominican Sisters
.
JoAnn had a great passion for her family and grandchildren. Her hobbies included crafting and the fine arts.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, John Steiner; son, Brian (Petra) Steiner, Olathe, KS; daughter, Debra Steiner, Merriam, KS; sister, Bernice (Boone) Reichenberger, Wichita, KS; brother, Mark (Linda) Ille, Great Bend, KS; and two grandchildren, Nick Bullock and Isaac Steiner.
