Johanna Mesloh

May 1, 1941 — July 19, 2017

Johanna Mesloh, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away on July 19, 2017, in her home surrounded by her family.  She was born May 1, 1941, in Rawlins, Wyoming, to Soren and Dorothy Thomsen.

Johanna graduated from high school in Rawlins and then moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she was employed at Francis E. Warren Air Force Base.    She met her future husband Duane Mesloh during his assignment at Warren AFB.  They married October 24, 1964, and had two daughters, Ruthie and Debbie.  The family had joyful times and adventurous experiences while Duane was with the Air Force, living in seven different states.

During her later stages of life, Johanna was an assertive realtor and was very successful in her career.

Johanna is survived by her loving husband, Duane, daughter Ruth McInnis (Mesloh), son-in-law Kenneth McInnis and grandson Evan McInnis of Washington, Missouri; daughter Debbie Mesloh of San Francisco, California; and sister Kris Thomsen of Cheyenne, Wyoming.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and grandson Owen McInnis.

Johanna will be remembered as fun loving, with a vivacious and friendly personality.

Visitation and Memorial Service

Memorial Service will be conducted at Shawnee United Methodist Church, 10700 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29th with visitation at 10:00 a.m.
