John W. Brunner

August 30, 1977 — February 11, 2019

John W. Brunner, 41, of Platte City, Mo., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 11, 2019 at Saint Luke's North Hospital.

John was born August 30, 1977, to Lawrence and Beverly Brunner.  He was a graduate of Bishop Miege High School in 1996.  He was initiated into the Pipe Fitters Union Local 533 in 1998, and served 20 years as a journeyman, foreman and skilled welder.

On August 3rd, 2002, John married Dana Wamsher.  They had two children, Haley Marie in 2004 and Katherine Jean in 2008.  John enjoyed the outdoors, and spent most of his time working on his land.  There wasn't a job he wouldn't take on himself, and proudly complete with his own hands.  He instilled work ethic and can-do spirit in his family.  He was a man of faith, a man of conviction, a man who believed that responsibility and honesty are essential traits of every human being.  To live well, integrity is everything.  He was a mountain of a man.

John is survived by his wife, Dana, daughters, Haley and Katherine; parents, Lawrence and Beverly; sisters, Melissa Grisham, Melinda (John) Marshall and Patricia Brunner; brother, Nathan Brunner; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Sandra Wamsher; brother-in-law, David (Mindy) Wamsher, and 14 nieces and nephews.  He will be greatly missed.
