John Warren Curtis

John "Warren" Curtis, of Overland Park, passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Beloved husband to Carol whom he cared for until her death alongside their three children. Preceded in death by his parents and four siblings and his loving second wife, Dorothy. Warren will be remembered as a dedicated family man, committed to providing support, steadfast love, and affection. He enjoyed traveling, particularly to visit family and friends and had a passion for fishing with memorable adventures in Alaska, Lake of the Woods, MN and Brownsville, TX. Warren was a committed patriot, serving in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and as a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Karen and Steve Thornton, Steve and Pattie Curtis, and Glenn Curtis, as well as 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous great, great-grandchildren..

Condolences may be offered at a memorial visitation held at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS on Friday, May 15th from 5-7 pm and a funeral service at Wanda Methodist Church in Wanda, MO on Saturday, May 16th with services to begin at 11:00 am followed by burial.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society and St. Luke's Hospice House.
