John Decloud

January 12, 1923 — December 27, 2010

John DeCloud, 87, former long-time resident of Kansas, passed away December 27, 2010, in Mesa, Arizona, after a brief illness.

He was born on January 12, 1923, in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps and served in WWII and Korea. Following his military service, John became a professional photographer, owning and operating DeCloud Portrait Studios, which was founded by his parents in 1927. He was an avid boater and former commander of the Kansas City, Missouri chapter of the U. S. Power Squadron, a boating education and safety organization.

John is survived by Fran DeCloud, his loving wife of 62 years, who currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona.

Graveside Service

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Pleasant View Cemetery, 6100 Quivira Road, Shawnee, Kansas.
