John Richard Dollard

John R. Dollard, 82, of Overland Park, KS passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Menorah Medical Center.  John was born August 14, 1935 to the late Elmer and Helen Dollard in Kansas City, KS.  He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Colette Hornick.  He graduated from Bishop Ward high school in 1953 and earned an  associate's degree from Donnelly College.  After college, John enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps.  John worked for Mobil Oil in the Credit Card Division for over 33 years.  John was an active member of Church of the Nativity, where he enjoyed singing with the Adult Choir. He was an avid golfer and looked forward to his annual trip to Buena Vista, AR with friends.  John also enjoyed gambling on the riverboat casinos, especially The Argosy.  He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Dollard; his brothers, C.W. "Bill" Dollard; James K. Dollard and wife Joyce; a brother in law, Bob Willis and wife Janice; and Willis niece and nephews and Gruss nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 6 at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W. 119th Street, Leawood, KS.   Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
