John P. Giunta, 86, of Shawnee, KS formerly of New Milford, NJ passed away December 19, 2016. John was born June 29, 1930 in Teaneck, NJ to Joseph and Michelina Giunta. John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria, daughters, Mary (John) Malecki, Graceann (Joseph) Sandri, two grandchildren, Joey Malecki, Michael Sandri, brother, Joseph of Midland Pk, NJ, nieces, Michele Collett, Christine Stecker, and nephew, Gregory Giunta. John was preceded in death by his brother, Louis. John graduated from St. Peter's College in Jersey City, NJ with a BS in Chemistry. John was a Senior Chemist at BASF for 30 years.

Service

A Visitation is set for 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM, Thursday, 12-29-2016 at The Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203. A Memorial Mass is set for 10:00 AM, Friday, 12-30-2016 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church 5501 Monticello Rd Shawnee, KS 66226. Interment will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Lenexa, KS. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Aberdeen Village for their loving care.
