John T. Neil

John T. Neil, 92, Overland Park, KS passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2018 at the Olathe Hospice House, Olathe, KS.

John was born August 7, 1926 in Philadelphia, PA to J.P. and Grace Neil. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. On March 5, 1950 John married Anna Trog. He worked for the City of Overland Park until his retirement. John enjoyed fishing and working on his cars. He was a charter member of Asbury United Methodist Church. John was very active in the church. He especially enjoyed singing in the choir.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Anna on May 22, 2006. He is survived by his three daughters, Joan Sarver Buth, Tucson, AZ, Reita (Michael) Powell, Leonia, NJ and Betty (Michael) Sullins, Olathe, KS; six grandchildren, Christine, Jessica, Gregory, Kevin, Jennifer and John; and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 3 at the Asbury United Methodist Church; burial in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.
