John J. “Jack” Schneller

March 9, 1932 — March 29, 2012

John J. "Jack" Schneller, 80, formerly of Raytown,MO, passed away, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at the Kansas City Hospice House. John was born March 9, 1932 in St. Louis, MO. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He married Barbara Ann Braun in October of 1955. She preceded him in death in December of 1976. From that union, three children were born. He moved to Kansas City for his job with US Tobacco in 1972. He retired as a Division Sales Manager. On November 7, 1987, he married the love of his life, Mary Jane Hootz. She preceded him in death on December 19, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Loretta M. and Otto H. Schneller and a granddaughter, Barbara Ann Graf.

He is survived by his five children, Lois Hootz, Temple, TX, Kathy (John) Baughman, Grand Junction, CO, John T. Schneller, Kansas City, MO, JoAnn Hootz, Mission, KS, Ann (Joe) Graf, St. Louis, MO; a brother, Harry "Whitey" (Rosemarie "Babe") Schneller, St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Kevin (Jenny) Baughman, Milo, IA, Mike (Lindsay) Baughman, Indianola, IA, Jeremy Utter, Grand Junction, CO, Klynn Graf, Belleville, IL, Jennifer Graf, St. Louis, MO and Kassandra Graf, St. Louis, MO and great grandchildren, Jadin Firkins and Amos Baughman.

Visitation and Funeral Mass

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Tuesday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m., Monday at the church with the Rosary at 6:30 p.m.

Memorial Contributions

The family suggests contributions to the Knights of Columbus, Council 4962 or Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care.
