John Swope

John S. Swope of Shawnee, KS passed away at his home December 1, 2014. John was born to John Wade and Masako Swope in Yokosuka, Japan in 1965. He graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, MO and received his degree in mechanical engineering from University of Missouri in Columbia. John was married to Lori Boggs in 1998 in Sedalia, MO. John and Lori had three beautiful children; Alexander, Jacqueline, and Nicholas. He was employed at Ft. Leavenworth. John volunteered for Shawnee Mission Medical Center and as an amateur Ham Radio operator for various events.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Lori and his three children.

Visitation will be held Friday December 5, 2014 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Amos Family Funeral Home 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS. Burial will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10 am at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, MO.
