John R. Winters

John Robert Winters, 65, Gladstone, MO (formerly of St. Joseph, MO) passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, MO.  John was born Oct. 19, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to Clark and Elsie Winters. He worked in retail sales for many years, receiving many awards. He was an avid fisherman, sports fan and volunteered at the YMCA.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his two sons, Jeremy (Janine) Winters, Kansas City, KS and Brandon (Kara) Winters, Irvine, CA; sister, Judy (Bill) Baker, Lenexa, KS; brother, Rodney (Sandy) Winters, Shawnee, KS; three grandchildren, Hudson, Brady and Emily Winters; niece, Melinda Monsees; and two nephews, Ryan Winters and Robert Meyer. John was a donor and many lives will be affected by his generosity.

Visitation will be 9-10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 6 followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the Amos Family Funeral Home; burial in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
