Johnny Allen Myers

Johnny Allen Myers, 65, Shawnee, Kansas, died Friday, July 29, 2011, at the Shawnee Mission Outpatient Pavilion at Prairie Star Parkway, Lenexa, Kansas.

Johnny was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to John E. and Waneta Myers. He was graduate of Park University. Johnny was a US Naval Reserve. Johnny was a retired Lt. with the Overland Park Fire Department. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father and mother, sister, Janie Burch and grandson, Zach Myers. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Brenda Myers; daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Hager, Shawnee, Kansas; two sons, John (Kim) Myers and Jerry (Tanya) Myers, all of Lenexa, Kansas; two sisters, Berniece Wells and Faye Ann Laird both of Shawnee, Kansas; brother, David Myers, Ft. Scott, Kansas; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m.
