Jonne "Judy" M. Ferguson, 85, died Tuesday, March 21, 2012. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to August Michael "Bob" and Cecilia "Susie" Schrepfer, lived in Potwin, Kansas and graduated from El Dorado High School. Judy attended Kansas State University and married Elvin G. Ferguson while in college. Judy was a devoted wife, dedicated mother to four children and a wonderful grandmother. She was a kind and generous woman who worked to make the perfect home for her family as well as volunteering in her church and community. A Shawnee Mission School District employee, Judy's vocation was the school food service serving in a variety of positions. She was hired in 1966 and retired in 1991. Her vocational dream came true in 1981 when she soloed and successfully passed the requirements for a private pilot license. Judy is survived by her children; son Michael Ferguson and wife Janet of Mobile, Alabama, Teresa Ferguson of Woodland Park, Colorado, Mary (Ferguson) Dinges and husband Don of Olathe, Kansas and Tony Ferguson of Lake Elmo, Minnesota. She is also survived by siblings Rosemary Schrepfer of Olathe, Kansas and Waldo Schrepfer of Langhorne, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Thomas, Benjamin, Patrick, Emily, Jaci and two great grandchildren, Cassie and Sam.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Visitation will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 25, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum, Lenexa, Kansas, at 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road.
