José A. (Chep) Alonzo, 84, of Roeland Park, KS passed away February 5, 2016. José was born April 23, 1931 in Topeka, Kansas to Angel and Celestina Alonzo. José is survived by his wife, Frances, daughters, Lisa Marie (CJ) Conard of Escondido, CA, Yolanda (Alex) Velasquez, sons, Angelo (Wanda), Anthony "Tony" (Sonja) Alonzo, six grandchildren, Michael Alonzo, Bryan Alonzo, Joanna Stripling, Alex Velasquez Jr., David Velasquez, Lassen Conard, four great-grandchildren, Penelope Alonzo, Pierce Alonzo, Isabella Alonzo, Jacob Stripling, brother, Enrique V. Alonzo of South Portland, ME and many nieces and nephews. José was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, and four brothers.

Visitation and Funeral Mass

A Rosary is set for 6:00 PM, Monday, February 8, 2016 visitation following until 8:00 PM at St. Pius X Catholic Church 5500 Woodson Road Mission, Kansas 66202. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 10:00 AM, Tuesday also at the church. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
