Joseph Biron

Joseph Biron, 82, Lake Quivira, Kansas, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Lakeview Village Care Center, Lenexa, Kansas.

He was born November 14, 1928, in Fryeburg, Maine to Joseph and Yvonne (King) Biron. He earned his Mechanical Engineering degree in 1951 from the University of Maine. Following school he worked with Worthington Pump Corp., until 1968 when he started his own business as a Fairbanks Morse Pump Representative. Joseph was a lifetime member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Kansas City Engineers Club.

Joe and his family moved to Lake Quivira, Kansas in 1963, where he resided for 48 years. He enjoyed hunting, boating, hiking and horseback riding.

Joe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis (McLaren) Biron; three sons and six grandchildren, JR and Teresa Biron, Elizabeth and Ethan; Peter Biron, Brendon, Bill and Shay Biron, Satchel, Chloe and Linen all of Lake Quivira, Kansas. He is also survived by his sister, Mildred Cluotier of Georgia and brother, Milford Biron of Texas.

Celebration of Life Service

A Celebration of Joseph Biron's Life will be held 3-5:00 pm, Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Lake Quivira Club House.
