Joseph J. Chepuran

Joseph J. Chepuran, 89, of Merriam, Kansas, passed away August 13, 2012.

He was born July 19, 1923, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Michael and Magdelene (Fabic) Cepuran. Joseph served in US Army Air Corp during WW II. He worked for Bendix and then Wilcox Electric for many years. He was an amateur gemologist and Master Silversmith.

Joseph was preceded in death by his wife Doris Rangel Chepuran; brother John Cepuran’; sisters Anna Paska and Mary Cepuran; and a grandson, Jack David Beemont, Jr. He is survived by his children, Barbara Bowman, Aztec, New Mexico, and Jack David Beemont, Mabelvale, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Theresa Cepuran, Omaha, Nebraksa; along with many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 17, 2012, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Mission, Kansas with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson, Mission, Kansas 66202.
