Josephine “Jo” Martinez

Josephine "Jo" Martinez lost her long battle with cancer on March 18, 2009.

She is survived by her daughter Regina and ex-husband Jeff Will; daughter Angela and husband Ed Grasso, granddaughter Danielle Grasso; son Eddy and wife Adrienne Martinez, grandson Eddy and granddaughter Antoinette Martinez. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Mary Thompson, Florene Pini, Virginia Malara and Jeanne Kim and may beloved nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the medical personnel a the Cotton O'Neil Cancer Center in Topeka, Ksansas as well as the Topeka Catholic Hospice and the Kansas City Metro Catholic Hospice for the care and kindness Jo received throughout her illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral Mass

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on March 24, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Mater Dei Assumption Church 204 SW 8th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas. A Rosary will be recited prior to the Mass to begin at 10 am. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
