Joshua Joseph Allen

Joshua "JJ" Joseph Allen, 36, of Prairie Village, KS passed away January 7, 2018. JJ was born April 5, 1981 in Kansas City, MO to Chris Allen and Patricia Buhler. JJ is survived by his wife, Erin, and sons, Carson and Llewynn Allen; sister, Krista (Travis) VandeNoord, brothers, Kyle (Michelle) Allen, BJ Allen, and David (Ali) Spruell. JJ was preceded in death by his daughter, Maya Allen.

JJ was a teacher both in profession and life. His creativity showed brightly in his guitar playing, love of music, and photography.  JJ's love of the outdoors included a passion for mountain biking, hiking and shoveling snow. His number one priority in life was always family.  JJ would do anything for those closest to him. An amazing father and husband will be what he is remembered for the most.

A Celebration of Life is set for 3:30 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Hillcrest Christian Church, 11411 S. Quivira Rd, Overland Park, KS 66210.  The family will be available to share condolences beginning at 2:00 PM.

Memorial contributions in JJ's name may be made to the Allen children's education fund. Donations can be made payable to Erin Allen, â„... the Burns & McDonnell Credit Union, 9400 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64114.  Any flower deliveries must be made to the church Friday, January 12th, between 10 AM and 3 PM.
