Joshua A. Collins

Joshua Allen Collins, 46, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, passed away on September 16, 2023, in La Cynge, Kansas. He was born in Shawnee Mission and was known to his loved ones as Joshua.

Joshua was a man who loved life and had a deep passion for fishing, boating and the mountains. His family and friends were of the utmost importance to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. However, he also struggled with personal demons, and unfortunately, he lost his fight.

Joshua is survived by his mom Joy Kobe and stepfather Bob, his father Melvin Collins and stepmother Pam, as well as his sisters Jennifer, Shelbi, and Cara. He also leaves behind his children, Mackenzie (Arellano) Fleming, Josh (Taylor) Collins, and Matthew Collins; and his grandchildren Bentley, Ryder, Briella, Kingston, and Maverick. He is also survived by his Granny Smith. Joshua was preceded in death by his Papaw Smith, Grandma Eileen, Carla, and his grandparents Mel and Wanda Collins.

A visitation will be held from 9-10am with a funeral service to follow at 10am on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Both will be held at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS. For those unable to attend Joshua's service in person, you can watch the livestream of the service by clicking HERE .
