Joy Lynn Brock

Joy Lynn Brock, 57, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away January 6, 2019 surrounded by her family and friends.

Joy was born in Little Rock, Arkansas June 29, 1961 to Billy and Jean Ann Henry. She is survived by her husband Mark Brock; son Jason Brock of St. Louis; daughters Jenifer (son-n-law Joseph) Gilstrap of Lenexa; Jesica Brock of Lenexa; and sister Jana Darling of Shawnee; two grandchildren Jayci Lynn and Jacob Brock Gilstrap; and nephew Justin Darling.

Joy was more than just a mother, sister, and friend to her immediate family.  She spent a lifetime accumulating lifelong friends, as well as being a second mother to so many of her children's friends.  She was a daycare provider for 26 years and remains in touch with many of those children today.  She was a liver transplant survivor of twelve years, as well as battling kidney disease for the last six.  Because of her fighting spirit, we were graced with the gift of her presence and love these last twelve years.  As the "mother" to our entire family, she will be missed tremendously, but her memory will forever be with us and to all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be Friday, January 11, 2019 at 6 p.m. at her daughter Jenifer's home.
