Juanita B. Lee was born into the Stumpff family to Irvin and Augusta Stumpff July 11th, 1931. Juanita was the oldest of her 13 siblings. Her and her siblings were raised in Shawnee, Kansas. Juanita attended high school at Shawnee Mission High School. She married Merle Lee February 20th, 1954 and had two kids. Michael, the oldest, was born in Shawnee while Micki, the youngest was born in Massachusetts because of Merle being stationed there by the Navy. Juanita’s children had children of their own giving her 4 grandchildren and the 5 great grandchildren. She loved animals like horses, dogs, cats, goats, etc. and she was a 4-H leader, helping with the horses while her children showed them in the county fair yearly. Juantia also worked for the Shawnee Mission School District Food Service for 40 years before she retired. Juanita loved traveling and she loved seeing the world. Her photo albums were always full of photos from her different trips, her living room always full of things she collected on her travels. Juanita passed away in her home June 12th, 2018 at the age of 86. She lived a long life and was loved by all, even if she was a bit demanding.

A celebration of life will be on Saturday, June 16 at the Shawnee American Legion, 6521 Neiman, Shawnee, Kansas 66203 at 2:00.
