Juanita Belle Lotspeich Meyer

Juanita Belle Lotspeich Meyer, 95, was called home to God's everlasting arms on May 31, 2013.

She was born October 17, 1917, in East Lynne, Missouri. She graduated from Garden City, Missouri, High School and attended nursing school at St. Luke’s Hospital where she met her loving husband Albert Luther Meyer. She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survived by daughters Marie McDermed of Mission, Martha Miller and husband, Duane, of Rogers, Arkansas, Alberta Bailie and husband, Jack, of Houston, Texas and their children Lisa Malstrom, and husband Jon, their children Mark and Leah of Spring, Texas, David Bailie, wife Christine, and their children Noah and Mirabelle of Austin, Texas. Son John Meyer and wife, Gail, of Overland Park, Kansas, and their son Josh Meyer of Los Angeles, California. Sisters Naomi Hawn of Harrisonville, Wilma Sisk of Garden City, Helen Kenny and husband, Don, of Holden, brother, Jim Lotspeich and wife, Betty, of Pleasant Hill and many nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Al, parents, J.W. and Gladys Lotspeich, sisters, Ioma McFerrin and June Leslie and brother Robert Lotspeich.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 70 years, was a Stephen's Minister volunteer, a Hospice volunteer, and had many, many friends. Following her husband's death in 1965, she helped take care of her parents and her family and was always available when she was needed. She was kind, caring and the sweetest person anyone had the pleasure of knowing. She will be missed by all as we had the joy of having her in our lives for many years as a vibrant, active and healthy lady until only a year ago.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice House or Trinity Lutheran Church.
