Julia F. Becker, 82, Overland Park, Kansas (formerly of Shawnee, Kansas), passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at The Atriums, Overland Park, Kansas.

Julie was born July 30, 1931, in Saltillo, Mississippi, to Simon and Annie Poppelreiter. She attended Saltillo High School. On August 3, 1953, Julie married Emmett Becker at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Clearwater, Florida. She was a past Chair of Our Lady of Fatima Guild, St. Matthews Catholic Church, Topeka, Kansas, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Julie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Emmett M. Becker; five children, Margaret and Ralph Foster, Keller, Texas, Joseph and Kim Becker, Shawnee, Kansas, Rita and Frank Eschmann, Topeka, Kansas, Cynthia and Tony Hoffman, Amarillo, Texas and Douglas and Cheri Becker, Duluth, Georgia; sister, Ruth Robinson, Corpus Christi, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home, where a Rosary Recitation will be at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in ResurrectionCemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
