June Agnes Rettig Horn

June Agnes Rettig Horn, 77, of Lenexa, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010, at St. Luke's South.

June was born June 3, 1933 to the late Roger and Agnes Rettig in St. Louis, Missouri. June graduated from Hancock High School and attended Memphis State University. She was an active volunteer. She volunteered in the nursery and hospice with the University of Kansas Medical Center. June also served as a counselor with Planned Parenthood as well as a guide for an art museum in Memphis, Tennessee. June was a former member of Hillcrest Christian Church and Afton Christian Church.

June is survived by her loving husband, Ray D. Horn; a daughter, Stephanie Horn; two sons, Chris Horn and wife Maggie, Richard Horn and his wife Rosa; two sisters, Joan Sheppard, and Linda Rettig Meyer; a brother, Roger Rettig; eight grandchildren, Autumn, Daniel, Emily, Jeremiah, Jessica, Kirstin, Richard, and Samantha; and 4 great grandchildren Ryan, Nolan, Krista, and Joseph.
