Kam Adam Wagner

March 4, 1963 — March 17, 2012

Kam Adam Wagner, 49, Mission, Kansas, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Merriam, Kansas, after a brief battle with lung cancer.

Kam was born March 4, 1963, in Lawrence, Kansas. He was married to Lou Anne for nearly 25 years and worked at Johnson County Community College in the department that became Multi-Media. He shared that same creative inspiration through many video and audio creations he made for family and friends. Kam and Lou Anne's home has always been a welcome place for all friends who loved their patio and poker parties, many of which ended with "I'm out" when the less traditional games started late into the night.

His precious boys, Aaron and Erik, will always remember their dad through the diversity of music that was the centerpiece of their home. He provided them with a loving environment and fun vacations during his life that ended too soon.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Anderson; grandparents, Orville and Bertha Wagner. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Lou Anne; his adoring sons, Aaron and Erik; his mom, Carlene Mischlich (Frank); sister, Wendy Zappa (and her children David, Alicca and Rebecca); father, Larry Wagner (Christi) and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Special thanks to the Kansas City Cancer Center and the compassionate staff at Shawnee Mission Medical Center for their care and support.

A celebration of his life will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2012, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5500 Woodson, Mission, Kansas, 66202. (Casual attire)

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association or St. Pius X Catholic Church.
